Just finished my post lunch snack of three prata kosong ......
what are your eating habits for roti prata ? .....
me ? I like to eat mine like a stew, for my prata to be soaked in curry. I always gripe to the ah neh about the amount of curry given.
can't understand why people can still have half a saucer of curry left over after three kosongs ....
Can't say I like them all soggy, and that's why I don't soak them.
I dip the pieces as I go along, so I get the crunchy bits as well as the curry.
Hmm - hungry now. Taking the missus on a chilli crab hunt in a few minutes.
cut out a 5cm by 5cm square piece (usually cheese egg prata)
submarine the whole piece into the curry, twirl in the curry 3 times
send to mouth
i tend to cut them into bite size pieces and dip each one into dhal curry as i go along
i miss the banana prata
i do it same as Ged, and i dont eat any prata except for kosong
I only like good ol' kosong and telur. Seriously, what's with all the cheese/mushroom/banana/honey/kaya/etc fillings, man....
As to how much curry I use..... that depends. If I'm eating in, I cut the prata in bite-size pieces and dip them in curry using a fork and spoon. If I takeaway, I pour the whole packet of curry straight onto the prata and eat with my own bare hands.
I can understand that some people like to eat it with sugar..... what I don't understand is people who eat it with both sugar and curry.

i totally agree, whats up with cheese and mushrooms...they are so yucky
i also dont understand sugar, my family also dont eat with sugar until we see singaporeans do it, then its like wtf to us
and prata is cheap here, my aussie collike had 4 5 pratas at one go during lunch and it cost him only 3.50 from golden shoe
but prata for lunch is weird to us singaporeans
kosong only with or without curry.
i like all kinds of prata
but i like the one called murtabak....lots of meat, onion and very filling

Best murtabak ever would be Zam-Zam.... just across the road from the Sultan Mosque.
One $5 murtabak there can feed two ordinary-sized people.
What kind of curry?
I am increasingly coming across curry "kosong".
Just curry powder and onions. No chicken, mutton, or fish flavour.
I prefer my prata to be pack with the curry pour into them and eat them when they become soggy with the curry gravy infused in them
ah ... I see kindred spirits ...

I like it with veggie curry .....
it's one of the few non-meat meal items I like ......
but you know what'll make it perfect ? ..... those little nuggets of mutton fats you sometimes find in the curry .... Ooooooooooooo
only1 egg 1 kosong everytime.
for strange reasons i really like having prata with ice milo.
if not then fish curry.
sometimes with sugar only.
when the mood strikes, mutton murtabak or plaster!
prata with iced milo ......
mmmmmm ...... very alameenish ....
As it is I've been accused of being too detailed (by some unnamed wannabe tycoon), but I can't resist: is a murtabak a kind of prata?

it's prata improved ! .....
it's a gigantic square of prata stuffed with minced mutton and onions .....
we just had a murtabak and nasi brani pig out at zam zam's earlier in the year .....
where I got a $50 parking summon at beach road ......

Just had one egg and one kosong washed down with Ice Milo.
Since I tar pau-ed it..... I poured the whole packet of curry over the pratas.
The perfect Sunday morning breakfast.

Yeah, I suppose it is prataPlus - I just never thought of it that way.
Aargh - parking fines. I'm thinking of turning running over meter maids into a sport - 20 points for one of the vultures with 10 bonus points if you manage to squash their electronic thingies.
Yeah!! I'm ZamZaming in 2 days time :D I love Zamzam's murtabaks too
I usually order kosong and Telur Bawang. If I see ready-made kosong, then I will not order kosong, but will order Telur Bawang cos I find usually it will be freshly made!
Yucks to soggy ready made prata!
Hence, I dip and eat, don't like it too soggy.....
what about tissue prata ? .....
the dear loves tissue prata, with condensed milk .....
I like mine with condensed milk ..... and the veggie curry dip .... and the yoghurt dip ! ...
LONG LONG LONG ago when i still can eat prata.... usually 1 kosong and 1 plaster... dip bite size into curry... i like fish curry for my pratas hehehe....
and with ice tea-less sugar less milk
fudgy, u mean got ppl eat with sugar AND curry??!!!
