I was at one of the prata shops along Casuarina Rd. some years back and saw a family at the next table eating their pratas by dipping them in tomato ketchup. Ugh.

Urgh..cannot imagine prata with ketchup..
ketchup? so so so wrong...and a waste!
Yeah, that's almost as bad as when hawker stalls were serving dry wonton noodles with ketchup some years back. Hopefully, they've abandoned that practice.

Or as a filler if I'm still hungry after a main meal.
As a meal in itself, two kosong is the absolute minimum.
Prata as a meal? I wouldn't do it now...
i rikes noodles in ketchup.
very primary school.
Oooooo ...... perfect prata and kopi weather .....
i say this is tom yam ban mian weather
This is the purr-fect weather for prata and kambing soup~
Prata is getting rounder and smaller and I thought I saw mini pratas somewhere before. They might as well come in three sizes so people could get what they really want.I want mine to be squarish with telor and the size of a medium pizza.
got a question...
weren't pratas supposed to be square?

nowadays the kosong are usually round like those coin prata from jalan kayu... no idea why the sudden change...

I have seen someone dipping Hot cakes in garlic chilli before so I guess both are equally weird

I've always thought that kosong is round and telur is square.
I think it depends on whether it's pre-flipped ? .....
for kosongs they'll flip it and then ball them up again and put them aside ......
the rest are made fresh ....

not really leh.. some of them mak plaster by taking the ready cook kosong, open it up, drop a sunny side up inside, flip it closed again,..and serve... not fresh too.

nope.. they fold it up like the normal telur version too..
well, at least they used to..
now the round ones, kinda not that flaky and crisp anymore
