oh damn, this year must make new passport.
within how many months from expiry i cannot travel ah? 2 months ah?
*me mysteriously appears in a puff of smoke*
I was making some instant coffee in a screw-top tumbler. I poured the hot water in and screwed in the cap of the tumbler.....
A few seconds later, the expansion of the steam caused the cap to blow. End result: spilled coffee on the floor and a scalded right hand.
Basket.... I didn't think that steam expansion in a tumbler would be so great.... after all, I didn't fill it to the brim.... only 3/4 of the way.

the tumbler is not the type that can hold hot stuff?
I remember trying to do it online....
The stupid site kept rejecting my photo, saying that the file was too big.... never mind that I had already cropped and resized it by a lot.....
So in the end, I gave up and went down to the ICA for proper passport photos.... the photo fellas there can take good photos and will even Photoshop them a little. I then filled out the form and dropped it in the box. I was in and out of the building within 15 minutes.
Got my passport just a few days later.

Well, if they want these uncomfy and seatless buses to ply these routes which I dont need, that's fine by me.
Gimme a bus that's more than 5 years old, but with the seats anytime.
I dunno, but RWS think it's possible to keep on requiring operators to buy new buses every 5 yrs.
Soon expect $5 per trip from HarbourFront - RWS w/ spanking new buses.

if u use photoshop
u have to "save for web"

no wonder bear has a problem with geting hi res photos.
even our passport photos are web size

I don't have a problem with that.. I scanned my passport photo and used microsoft picture manager? and just re-sized it to their requirements...

That's what I don't understand....
If I had filled the tumbler to the brim with cold water and microwaved it, I can understand.... steam would be expanding into a limited space, causing a major pressure buildup....
But in this case, I poured water that was already hot to begin with..... and only 3/4 of the way, at that. There shouldn't be enough of a pressure buildup to cause the cap to blow.

neither do i have any problem with that... I resize and recroped in photoshop...
By resizing, I mean resizing the canvas size... Then I saved the file in a lower quality... ICA website did state the file req... So I just saved it into a quality slightly below the limit...

Tat calls for an experiment~~!!!
After 1 day of unproductive day at work ytd, today I finally devised a solution to do the job more effectively and faster... yay~
Hmmm, I mentioned this here b4... Anyway director asked me to wait till march to get a new phone becoz of some new regulation thingy with the 3 service provider... Supposely he's quite sure that the price of all phones will drop... However I dun see the reason why the price will drop...
