Ok, I don't have much pics since I didn't actually go sightseeing.
It was a work trip >.<" There are also less pics than expected because I was too busy eating to take photos
Anyway, I took Jetstar to KK before Kuching. No KK pics at all.
This was my first time taking Jetstar and I'm not sure if I want to take Jetstar again.
My window had hair grease on it. It won't show up on the photo so I took a picture of a thread stuck to the window pane instead. (not placed by me...it was already there)
Well, they had some kind of sticky tape which I bet is left over by some other passenger (says so much about their house cleaning)
What took the cake was that I touched something sticky on my seat beat which was some old chewing gum!!! IT WAS GROSS!!!
Jetstar has actually much more comfortable seats compared to Tiger & AirAsia but if this is the level of their housekeeping for all their planes, I will not be taking them unless I have no choice at all!!!
I took this pic specially for Fatum
Meet Bobby the soybean loving dog. His fav foods are raw soybeans and Japanese Tofu. He goes nuts over them. He also like all other types of tofu and err apple.
My fav Laksa! Kuching Laksa!
It's more like our Prawn Noodle Soup with lots of prawns and spice with it. Not a lot of coconut milk like what we are used too. It's much much easier on the stomach. Oh yes they add lard in it too.
Kolo Mee! This is the Pork Trotter Version. Very yummy!
I took this pic because they eat cucumber and pineapple with belachan. It's really good though
My fav veggie in Kuching, the 'Bilin'! It's actually a wild fern and it is the veggie I order all the time. There is another type called the 'Pacu' but no luck finding it.
My fav cooking method for the 'Bilin' is stir-frying it with the Kuching Home-Made Red Wine. Really very fragrant! It smells a bit like Hua Tiao Jiu but much more fragrant.
I did eat a normal veg dish too. Fried Long Beans with Minced Pork and Mushrooms! Very Yummy too!
poor pooch ....... he thinks he's a rabbit huh ? .....
poor pooch ....... he thinks he's a rabbit huh ? .....
i think the Bilin is actually toxic if it unfurls and becomes the actual fronds of the fern
FINALLY I can access SGF properly!
It was acting up on me the whole day.
Anyway, other food I ate...those that I actually remembered to take pics >.<"
Assam Big Head Prawn. The Assam is different from ours but very lovely nevertheless
Razor Clams aka Bamboo Clams
Kuching Local Crab. Much more flavourful than the Sri Lankan crab
Fatty Pork Belly with Salted Fish. Very lovely!
Soybean Pudding
This is what they call 'Apple Fish' but I think it's a black tilapia
We went to eat 'Ye Wei' I don't know what is this, but was told it's called a 白鸟 and it likes to eat rice and usually found near rice paddies.
This is like the main highlight for me! I polished off 2 whole dishes! Look at the fats from the wild boar! The meat is really very fragrant!!
Erhmm I didn't shop much

Alamak! All off the above are the famous Kuching Kueh Lapis la!
Each layer is a different flavor! If I didn't remember wrongly, green is peppermint and dark brown is chocolate. Not sure about the rest.
The ones you posted are the normal ones la. They have the design ones which are really nice with weaving designs.
I specially brought 1 back from Kuching for CNY -_-"

Err the Soymilk pudding is like Almond Jelly without the almond flavor.
No I didn’t eat Chendol. It’s not something I like very much so never try.
I got the Kueh Lapis from one of their more famous shops.
Super buttery and sinful! It’s expensive too coz I got the design cake with the weaving designs.
And I paid local price and found it expensive :x
