been there on weekday morning... the whole place was swamped with PRC and their "uncles"... i thought i was in china..
Actually, I just went there this morning and I'm so impressed, I sms'd Pinky, av, and my mom to tell them about it!
They did take longer than the promised three working days but it's because of the increased load pre-March school hols, and the pink card did reach me really late, but mom managed to get hold of them to get the reference no. although it took a lot of redials cause they were engaged almost all the time. From there, just make an e-appt online and whaddaya know... I got my queue no., sat down, took my magazine out of my bag and FWAH... my turn liao!! Not even five mins had passed! I was in and out of the building in under 10 mins!! I was so stunned at how fast and efficient everything was, I became a tad disorientated!
that reminds me, raw salmon shashimi put inside freezer (frozen) can last how long hah?

Pinky, I must have mentioned to you before that most days after my shift, I have so much pent-up anger within that I dare any idiot to come and attempt to do whatever funny business they dare to on the train or dim streets because I'm just aching for an excuse to punch, kick, scratch, etc. 'in defence'.

Oh, I'm so impressed I just wish they had some kinda instant customer feedback system there because I would have given them 5-stars!
I've become so accustomed to waiting, waiting and waiting in Australia that it was jarring to the system to come back home to systems that actually work and work well! Trains don't get cancelled frequently, there are no drunks or drug addicts to watch out for, and food is sooooo cheap and good, and the shopping is so fantastic!
I just paid SGD 51+ to ship a parcel weighing just under 10 kgs back to myself. OUCH! Haiz... better than paying for excess baggage and anyways, I can't lug much and prefer to travel light.

Anything over 3 working days is not acceptable in Singapore especially if it's promised

Well people tend to complain that Singaporeans speak too fast
So maybe that is why they speak slowly
Hehhee

another alternative ....
u can go down to ICA .. verify the expiry date then go home and submit the application online

Orh... but hey, over in Australia, something like this would have taken more than a month!
I can't believe one of the nursing boards needs FOURTEEN bloody weeks just to print this silly letter certifying that I am qualified to practice!!!

I don't like winter... I LOVE the Melbourne winter!

they say cannot liao, because of the way the passport was extended
like bear said, its most probably because i extend at tampines safra.
Hmm... I have sorta solved the mystery of why the forecast heat wave and extreme heat in Summer for Melbourne failed to come true - I brought the heat wave back to Singapore!
