how's life been?
so u've heard Singapore now has 2 casinos and they've decided not to renew the 1st water agreement w/ Malaysia tat will lapse in June 2011.
Harlo, 275!
Hope all's well with your family and you!
Yah, I read about the recent opening of the MBS casino and the problems they're having with the power supply to that facility. The power outages resulted in people being trapped in the elevators there, but if people go there to gamble, that's just another risk they have to take.
Am I correct in saying that the expiration of the water agreement with M'sia in '11 will not have any significant impact on the water supply in Singapore?

I saw plenty of garibaldi and damselfish, and got close to commorants and sea lions.
did you go out far from the shore?

Yes they're.
In fact pro - Labour nation newspapers are switching sides too.
It seems Economist's polls shows Lib Democrats could even replace Labour as 2nd.

Apparently some legal bigshots (read: court judges) were there for a conference when the lights suddenly went out.
Add to things like poor room air-conditioning, poor room service, and so on, and quite a few of the justices actually walked out of the conference.
I think that they really were in too much of a haste to open that den of vice.... I mean, resort. It's only about half-done, there's still plenty of heavy construction going on, and they probably didn't do proper dry runs.

Not very, we stayed within 20m. The sea was unusually calm, and it was clear enough to see the bottom. I want to do more of this closer to home - at least I can get away with wearing lycra.

The power outage was yesterday. In fact e Labour Day holiday caused e SBS buses plying there to be packed.
Yes. In fact by e day of expiry, only 5% of water would be dependent on Malaysia. But by 2014 - 2015, no need to depend on Malaysia w/ new desalinised water plant.
Right now gabrament has built 3 more reservoirs at Marina Bay, Sengkang & Punggol, 1 NEWater plant in Changi & 1 desalinised plant in Tuas. Another desalinised plant is in e works.
In any case, there's still e 2nd water agreement tat will run to 2061.

Have you tried taping a notice to your front door clearly indicating that your family and you have no interest whatsoever in signing any documents related to the proposed en bloc sale? At the very least, it'll provide you with justification for chewing out anyone who ignores the notice.
