Does anyone know if orchard still flooded? Imma heading to hilton for lunch today...
that flood cleared by that very afternoon already la..
my critique of the article in the link:
reason #1 - questionable, but fair enough
reason #2 - bullshit. agriculture destroys as much of the environment as anything.
reason #3 - bullshit. animals eat other animals and human beings are meant to be omnivores, based on our teeth and digestive system.

I think serve vegan once a week is suitable. If the schools only serve vegan foods, they sure to get really siock of eating them

I think its a question of giving options vs forcing ba.
u can have MORE vegetarian stalls in schools but imagine watching TV and almost every channel shows Mark Lee! and you have no cable!
dam.. actually that's happening now.

I have cable and the pirate's bay. heng arh.
Haven't watched local TV since 1997.
My friend's mom.. is vegetarian for like the past 25 years...
now she has high cholestrol - why? cos going vegetarian doesn't mean you are healthier.
We're omnivores (though I'm sure some of us here are carnivores)... We need a mix of food...
Restricting ppl to eat to certain type of food... Now where's the freedom??? -__-

she must be the kind of vegetarian that doesn't eat much vegetables. let me guess she overdoses on oily vegetarian beehoon, mock meats, fried dough fritters, white bread and stuff like that.

the doctor i go to ate healthy food all her life.. she's on twice the dosage of my cholesterol medication in order to control it... and she exercises so much she looks almost anorexic but she's not coz you can see her biceps...
she said that cholesterol levels are genetically predetermined unless you're really obese...

Yeah. Its just like an all meat diet is pretty bad for us too.
I don't have a problem with people going vegan
But I do have a problem with them forcing their doctrine down ppl's throat
This is like the Save the Whales, Save the Sharks movement
End of the day it's all about FUNDS!!! MONEY!!!
Save the Environment is just an excuse
okay.. more things to lighten up your friday...

I dunno, what exactly is her definition of healthy diet? I've seen more than one overweight registered dietician.
Its like both my parents(on medication) and my younger brother have high cholesterol (its borderline for my brother). But mine is off-the-charts good since I dropped my excess weight by switching to healthier eating habits.

Vegan or vegetarian food is not necessarily healthier.
Mock meat, for instance can be really more unhealthy compared to their real counterparts.
And frankly speaking, maybe it's just me, but I somehow find the whole idea of eating mock meat to be pretty hypocritical....

mock meat makes a mockery of meat.
if you eat a wide range vegetables without deep frying them, soaking in salad sauce, or gravy - then yah its healthier.
But it isn't healthy to think just cos u eat vege its healthier.

When I think of mock meat.....
... I can't help but have a mental image of a vegan cuddling a cute little lamb and saying 'I'd love to eat you, but I can't, so I'm eating something that tastes like you.'
