  I just found out that the child care centre down the street ......

  has only ah tiong teachers .....

  all the kids there will end up with cute beijing accents I suppose ....

  oh .... and the fees there starts at 1500 a month ....

  I estimate at least 40 kids in there ....

  40 x 1500, that's 60000 a month !

   

  one ah tiong teacher, say 2k max, 4 ah tiong teacher, 8k ......

  and how much can 40 kids eat .... somemore the place is deserted at night.

  and one of my mates was complaining that at his kid's child care, they'd cut corners like feeding the kids half pieces of bread and watered down milo for breaks ...

  no wonder the aunty who runs the place goes around in a honking big beemer ....

  lots of other shit too..

  there's insurance, maintenance, utilities, books, all that shit add up..

  but still, it's a pretty penny...
