The Ding Tai Fung at Tampines mall always have a long queue outside but I rather go down to Crystal Jade at the basement or Pu Tien to eat or go over to Dian Xiao Er or Imperial Treasures at Tampines One :P
Their XLB even in the past I think lose to Crystal Jade…. We ate there once and never went back again (at least 3 – 4 yrs back ) . I remembered we were saying we wonder what is the reason for the super long queue.
hey pinky.... yes it's been a while..... as I have been away (Vancouver/Alaska/Banff) on holiday for 3 weeks.... how was your trip to edmonton? I remember you mentioned that on the forum a while ago.
I can't remember whether we had to queue last time we went but I just remembered it wasn't as good as Crystal Jade. I always love Crystal Jade as long as I know.... I love their la mien..... mmmmmmmmmmmm.... la mien... yum yum! And I haven't found any XLB as nice as Crystal Jade yet!

eat herring = no kissy ....

see a doc yet?
Honey, I was in Montreal and Toronto. Didn’t go to Edmonton.
I’m so in love with the aged Alberta beef in Canada.
And I actually got a tan in Canada despite it being end of Summer
They said I brought the Singapore sun with me. Haha
Fatum, keep your foot raised up and have plenty of rest
The Chinese sinseh I went to said it’s best not to use an ice pack to reduce the swelling as it slows down recovery as it constricts the blood vessels although it is very common practice to use an ice pack.
Just leave it alone but you need lots of rest and perhaps acupuncture to relieve the pain.
Don’t later like me hurt ankle but bo pian need to walk a lot, I ended up pulling another muscle so up till now my left leg have not really recovered yet.

You got to be kidding. I rather shop in USA
The brands are the same as USA but more expensive.
I only brought back Maple Syrup products
First time where I didn’t really shop overseas.

Hee hee... I meant to say Toronto.... but for some reasons I said Edmonton.
You should have visited Banff then if you like the beef so much...... pretty much every restaurant in Banff is a steak house......
Vancouver was pretty pleasant too when we were there but I was told Banff had a cold and wet summer this year. I love Banff though..... it's very pretty place....
Did you go to Niagra Fall?

Yeah I know.... but the cushioning still seemed fine, and the soles are only slightly worn out....
Anyway, I'll be using my SAF New Balance for now.... I just bought them two months ago. Been using them for schoolwear.
Right now I'm just not sure whether I can splurge on a good pair of running shoes.

Yup I went to Niagara Falls. Can’t see much with all the mist.
Anyway I had the steak on top of CN Tower.
The aged beef is expensive and not cheap at all but the flavour….
The medium rare ribeye is so rich and flavourful that I don’t know how to describe it but the fat after aging is like butter…. Melts immediately when it touches your tongue with a butter-like consistency. The meat melts in your mouth too. It’s like hitting the big O while eating…well crudely put. >.<” But it was THAT good

Huh? But isn't that the whole point?
To constrict blood flow to the injured area, reducing the degree of swelling in the process?
Yes…he explained in Chinese why it was not advisable
And I only understood that what he said in the future not to do so. Don’t ask me the reason because I don’t understand what else he was saying.
His Mandarin is very difficult to understand because he is Taiwanese but I caught the gist of it which is it will make the ankle harder to heal and it’s better to let it swell and not cause it to swell more by resting. His English is fail … so it doesn’t help to converse in English.
my concern now is my upcoming reservist later in the month ... -__"
you know I was training up for the IPPT .....
shit ....

And sometimes, eastern and western methods contridict(spelling?) each other...
For example during a fever, west says keep cool as possible while east says cover up with blanket so sweat more, thus heal faster...
Anyway, my ankle is taking a very long time to heal so I’m taking that adv with a pinch of salt
His adv has been good so far and I hv noticed an overall improvement in my general health
The only adv I’ve not been able to follow is that he told me to stop drinking coffee but I told him no coffee I no need to work already >.<”
I’m supposed to sleep earlier too but I don’t see that happening as well.

I love your description of the beef.... haha.... may be you should be a tv food show.
I love the salmon..... lots of them as it's breeding season. You can see them jumping out of the water as if they are telling you "catch me, catch me"....
I suppose the pleasure receptors in the brain is universal ....
so it's entirely plausible ....
and mousie, those salmon you see schooling upstream, those aren't good to eat anymore ..... especially if they've turned reddish black ....
all the fat's been expanded as energy, the flesh' lean and tough ... only the bears and the gulls would want it ....
you'd want those silver torpedos before they enter the estuaries ...
check this out.. you've been to the Niagara Falls.. but do you know that there is something which resembles a giant supervillain fortress hideout behind the falls?

He got it wrong with the ice.
Ice is important in the early stages of swelling. That is when you really need to constrict the blood vessels to reduce the buildup of fluid that causes the swelling.
Ice will only be detrimental in the long run, since long-run vasoconstriction will reduce the flow of nutrients and oxygen-rich blood to the injury site. Basically, you should stop using ice once the swelling has gone down.
A few minutes of having fewer nutrients is far less detrimental than having the injured area swell to kingdom come.
