  Man, I feel like an idiot.....

  It literally took me weeks to come up with a solution to a problem I was facing in my experiments.....

  And the solution turned out to be so ridiculously simple and cheap....

  *me bangs head repeatedly against the tabletop*

  Take heart that it's easier to design complicated solutions than simple ones.

  Well, I guess it's true that when you're used to dealing with complicated problems, the simplest solutions can be hard to get.

  I kind of remember reading about how Einstein had problems dealing with simple arithmetic while dealing with the problems of general relativity.

  When I first read your problem, I actually thought of those expensive 'space-saving bags' that require you to stick the nozzle of a vacuum cleaner into the bag. But then, what are the odds that your hotel room would have a vacuum cleaner?

  anyway, i spent lunch picking at my food - client lunch and they ordered fried beehoon with scrambled eggs! in the end i think i ate like 10% of the serving.
