  I outsourced some precision machining work to another company - they invited me to oversee the production so that I can check the quality on the spot....

  Oh well, it'll be more interesting than being cooped up in my office or lab the whole day....

  I'm not heading out with this illness, the rain and today's only class being shorter than the time it takes me to get there and back. The afternoon class is going to be a field trip on Saturday instead for this week.

  I'll have to miss IPT as well this evening. Damn the uncouth mofo who kept coughing into the back of my head without covering his mouth.

  Back when I was an undergrad, I sometimes had the interesting situation of having to spend nearly three hours on the road just to attend a one-hour tutorial. There were also times when my assigned tutorial slots were extremely inconvenient (e.g. having to rush across campus for back-to-back cross-faculty lessons).

  In such cases, I'll ask the tutor if I could just crash any of his other lessons on other days.... for the most part they agree to it.
