They told me cannot be done and so so so... But they could do the suggested practice at Orchard
dunno is it double standard, to show ang moh they deserve e award
nvm, ang moh also go to Boon Lay to get to Bird Park
I'm not a train nut but I really am super impressed with how the japanese railyway system works. And the trains are super on time. The ETA displays at the stations are accurate to the minute(they display actual local time and NOT number of minutes bullshit like SMRT). When you consider the sheer number of commuters served, number of stations and trains, and types of trains etc, its bloody amazing that such a complex system can run like clockwork. SMRT is piss poor by comparison.

I still wonder why they put so few gates facing JP when they knew that the interchange was going to be there.

when one's country of birth does not feel like home, that happens.

I felt a lot more at home in the US and even in developing countries (there are savages out there but you read about them rather than meet them) but I'm still searching. You could call me a global citizen or a nomadic bastard child (a memorable description published in ST during the stayer/quitter debate), but I don't care.

I don't get the quitter rubbish. our gahmen has been spending taxpayer money on ''quitters' from other countries.

They dun even bother to display anything beyond 6 mins. Worst any delay, they dun bother one.
somemore e CEO say e 22 train is SMRT buy.. my foot! it's LTA's fund

issue is not e gates
they dun bother. End up criss crossing... Your downward escalator going to Int clashes with those entering from ex Int side (those tat came from bus int aft a detour walk).
Actually they should open up 1/2 at JP side for entry, 1/2 for exit. Then 1 downward escalator divert ppl to exit from ex Int side.
U can't switch e escalator direction either, cos it's only making matters worst.
you dun see tis at CBD area.

Precisely. And those who move out just because of the foreign "quitters" also realise that they're also seen as such in their new environments.
but then again, some are forced out of their countries
like those Malaysians.
and seriously e SMRT CEO got it cheap
The train line is not borne by her as in construction, train purchase (it's our taxpayers $$ into e project).
She only nid to spend on maintenance.... The rest are easy profits for her.
I think if ask her to do a BOT proj, she and Temasek will cry lots. Cos it takes 30 yrs to recover e cost if it's BOT based.
I also liked Seoul much better than singapore. The people were helpful and not annoying although there was a little problem of spitting.
Only isssue is language I guess
Actually I think most Singaporeans are global citizens
How many of us actually have to travel for work these days
Like MPB he is based overseas for mths at a time
Although I travel and don't spend so much time overseas I still have to communicate frequently with Canada and New Zealand and now Australia.
I wouldn't be surprised if we moved out of SG one of these days due to work.
The only thing that is keeping MPB back is his mum
*me mysteriously appears in a puff of smoke*
My stupid PC messed up.... the monitor said 'No Signal' but the CPU was humming as usual....
After I hooked up a spare monitor, I still had the same problem.... I figured the problem had to be the video card.
So I opened my CPU's case and gave the video card a knock to make sure it was seated properly.... I also blew out as much dust as I could with compressed air.
Luckily, that solved the problem...
omg
fudgie wudgie so crever
my hero!~!~
........
And then a hero comes along
With the strength to carry on
And you cast your fears aside
And you know you can survive
So when you feel like hope is gone
Look inside you and be strong
And you’ll finally see the truth
That a hero lies in you

That PC problem I thought I had solved yesterday? It has come back.
And this time, it just refuses to be solved.... the way things are, I'm gonna have to lug the whole damn CPU to Sim Lim on Saturday to replace the video card....
And that's not the worst part..... the warranty for parts expired just THREE MONTHS AGO!!!
Dear God.... how about a bit of good news for once, please....... ?
*me faceplants into the tabletop*
