And this time, it just refuses to be solved.... the way things are, I'm gonna have to lug the whole damn CPU to Sim Lim on Saturday to replace the video card....
And that's not the worst part..... the warranty for parts expired just THREE MONTHS AGO!!!
Dear God.... how about a bit of good news for once, please....... ?

More problems plague Qantas
Australian Broadcasting Corporation
Broadcast: 15/11/2010
Reporter: Thea Dikeos
Qantas is facing another predicament after a 747 flight to Argentina was forced to return to Sydney today because of an electrical problem.
That's what happens when you outsource heavy maintenance to third-world countries. Even the major airlines here in the US have outsourced much of their fleet maintenance (including the massively labour intensive "C" checks) to South America.
Go easy on me, guys.....
First, I lose the flat I was gonna get all thanks to HDB's new rules....
Then, the DBS monkeys royally screwed me from behind with their incompetence....
Now, my PC screws up on me, and I can't do anything about it. I can't even do any work right now.
If I had my netbook with me, it wouldn't be so bad, since I save all my research work on both my PC and my netbook.
But I didn't anticipate my PC being temperamental tonight, so I left my netbook in my office.
*slumps back in chair*
i'm off for the nite. catch up tomorrow!

thai airway from Spain wrote to me..
due to a failure occurred in the aircraft that was scheduled to transport you...blah blah blah.. Article 5.3 of the Regulation (EU) nº 261/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council, and, consequently, the air carrier is not obliged to pay any compensation.
WIN LIAO!!
and they claim, for courtesy sake, they will reimbursement any cost that i have made.
okay, i was so tired that i have to take 2 days off from work, took midnight taxi back (which i do not have receipt), ate and paid for food at cafe (during their no-show), and we were bodily-fatigued/mental tired...
how to invoice thai airway hah? and took me a couple of days before i can find them..
my time loss?

The airline is correct from a technical and legal perspective. However, they have just dropped the ball big time in the PR department.
Would it help to directly contact their corporate HQ in Thailand instead?

Well, okay. If they're willing to compensate you for the inconvenience suffered, perhaps they aren't that bad after all.
I'm thinking they'll reimburse you for the "hard" costs (i.e., food and taxi fare) but you'll probably have a difficult time convincing them to compensate you for lost wages due to your voluntarily taking a couple of days off from work.
now the whole thing has snowballed back to the PAssengers' problem now... -.-"
air tickets tis part is little lei cei to claim..
not like bus rosak... bus driver (if bus is not engine failure), cancel your ez-link card transaction and print 'free' ticket.
thai airway singapore has been helpful and nice...
oh well...spain office has requested me to send in claims for incident cost incurred.
hello, we were so tired, 2 days absence of work, midnight taxi, makan at expensive airport, phone calls home and to work...
how to claim hah?? faintz.. we were too tired to even ask for receipts siah..

well, normally the 'home' office you're at supposed to handle it on behalf of e HQ
and sometimes or rather most of e time, they wun really respond to these cos sometimes it might create unecessary panic.
I dunno want to cry or laugh
some bus nutter used e 1979 SBS bus guide as route reference.. but did not realised how diff Singapore was in 1979
