lots of Singaporeans won't buy it..
in fact, lots of Singaporeans are stuck on Cognac and "Chivas", "Johnnie Walker" and "Martell"
now, Johnnie Walker isn't that bad.. but it's not that good either compared to the Japanese stuff.. but it's hell of a lot cheaper

well, no point buying the good stuff if they're mixing it with coke or 7-up :P
i can still remember being blown away when i tasted the single malt at Narita...
frankly, i've never had whiskey that tasted anywhere near that good before, and that included the very good scotch stuff
Originally posted by av98m:subsequent trips I am going to try haneda airport instead cos its closer to tokyo. the narita express train is not cheap sia. this time round it was ok because we already bought the JR pass but I don't think I need it in the future.
Haneda Airport , it is also 15mins train ride to Odaiba.....
There is a new hellokitty land there (indoor version)....*looks at bear*
let's go...
*prepares to order firebombs*
time to go to work...
be good everyone!!

I think the only passable Johnnie Walker is the Blue label
And they always mix it till it’s crap
And the Yamazaki is not cheap considering that bottle is only 750ml!

is haneda very busy/have lots of people milling about?
Well, there are some pubs in SG that serve Japanese Whiskey
MPB have a bottle of Nikka Whiskey at Roomful of Blues where he always goes to
I don’t think it’s a Yoichi 20 yr though. Not sure which bottle did he open.
In other news on how to get rid of those irritating PRC telemarketers is to just speak to them in English and they will auto hang up and not call back ever again.
Just taking a short break off work.... damn it's busy today....
In other news I've pretty much ended my war with DBS. They sent me a grovelling letter profusely apologizing for the multiple screwups their monkeys..... I mean, customer service operators did, and said that disciplinary action would be taken against them.
The first girl who attended to me will get the worst of it. She not only failed to send out my orders; she even failed to take note of my call. The managers actually had to CSI their telephone switchboard to find out about the call.
The second girl failed to verify my chequebooks and ended up cancelling the wrong one. Oh, and she also failed to send out my orders for a new chequebook.
And as a gesture of goodwill they sent me some NTUC vouchers.
Whatever. Hard cheese. I'm pulling my money out of the bank as soon as I have the chance to do so. A bank which cannot even keep transaction records does NOT deserve to be a bank.
Hi guys
Speaking of japan, will it be chilly or freezing etc in Feb next year? i am going to Japan with GF.. perhaps popping the golden question .... Need some form of plans and itienary to help out.
So far, places she wanna visit is Tokyo and Kyoto.
Any suggestion will do.
Btw, is it true that because I have a tatoo, I will need to go to the public bath for tatooed people?
Urgh... JW Black Label is barely drinkable.

go read up on and figure out the railway system before you go. like I said earlier, you do not want to blunder around when you're there.
I dunno about you but I took all my baths in my hotel room.
or just sign up for a group tour. problem solved.

JWBL is a joke
Anyway I read reviews that the relatively unknown JW Green Label according to some is better than their blue and cheaper too
Although wed is a holiday, I doubt I'll be able to relax as my deadlines does not move back by 1 day >________>
On the side note, I cant go out for dinner today becoz my phone went flat and I need to run some errand again >__>
Hi AV, did you go to the maid cafe?
Although I hv heard that tatoo cannot go public bath, nobody ever stop me....coz I got no tatoo . seriously i don't think you will be stopped.
finally, finished work...exhausted....*me rub eyes*..
and when i was about to leave office, DOWNPOUR! ...NOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
The Thai GF thread one is damn funny. Seriously it’s all about profiling and I’m glad the authorities are actually doing something now with the casinos up and you already hear news of women soliciting at the casinos.
Of course guys with Thai GFs will be kpkb that their girl cannot enter Singapore, plus Thailand seriously don’t have a very good reputation when it comes to the girls although it is not fair to tar everyone with 1 brush stroke but that happens with profiling.
It’s like the Americans think all Chinese speak with a funny sing-song accent.
