So 1.2kg = 1200g has....... 1200/57 *228 = 4800 calories.
To put things in perspective, the average runner burns 2400 calories over one marathon.
So Fatum needs to run the 84 km Sundown Ultramarathon to burn all that bak kwa off.
Marathons aren't for everyone. There are folks who stroke out in the middle of a marathon. Not to mention ligament injuries and all.
The night before, whilst doing stretching exercies, I heard a muted squishy sound. It was very soft and I could hear it only cause it was the middle of the night. I realised the sound only came when I do my stretches and I slowly traced the sound to... my right knee!
I've gone to the doc before to tell him of my chronic persistent knee pain but after a check, he just said that my ligaments holding the knee cap in place might have gone a bit off-center... because of age. Someone like me, if I even attempt pre-marathon training, will probably pop the knee cap and render myself handicapped!

Well, not worth starting. After all the effort you've put in to become healthy, smoking again will set you back. Consider all the hard work null and void once you smoke again.
my knees just go CRACK!!!
which reminds me.. time to go swimming.. hope the weather holds out

your tweet becomes more and more relevant.... AHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
Well, even when I was a toddler, my grandparents and parents would laugh whenever I squatted because both knees would crack louder than my grandparents'. Sooner or later, I'll be rendered immobile but I hope it'll be later rather than sooner!
I guess becoming handicapped is 'better' here than in Singapore. At least, the train drivers here stop to assist in putting the special platform for motorised wheelchairs to get onto the first train carriage. And zipping around in a motorised wheelchair is just like driving a car... without a driving licence.

Oh forgive me for being reformed to the extent that my head's no longer in the gutters!
I'm pretty proud of myself for deleting the comments I made in that thread in Aunt Agony where a self-indulgent brat is making his immaturity painfully obvious. Good girl! *pats own head...
OK... going out to climb my flight of stairs whilst checking my mailbox. Exercise for the morning!
Time for me to camp at Singapore Pools... Ytd sports a supar long queue >__>
av, just read your post in Night Owls and am impressed that you know about epigenetics!
Over here, I'm like the only one who knows about it, and the only one remotely interested in it too. I talk about it animatedly, but everyone else is like bored to death. I live in brain death central.

I know.... after three marathons, I still can't run 42 km non-stop.
I had to go into run/walk mode after 35km of continuous running.... my muscles just couldn't handle all that continuous pounding.
At least I've been showing improvement.... in the first marathon, I started walking after 25km.
Also, my recovery period has gone down.... in the first marathon, it took me two full weeks to recover from it. By my third marathon, though, I was back to normal after three or four days.

fatum mentioned that he believes people with good genes should have kids, but I find that all his habits are turning on the wrong switches in his genes :P

would have been better off eating the "muesli bun" from Giant
had lunch at Bakery of Life today... Food not bad... I hada carborana, fruit punch and a double chocolate cake... Can consider going back again... but guess tml we'll be going to MS FC as it will be their last day...
