The base, colour and top coat are all made of this gel (Doesn’t look like gel to me but whatever).
You dry the gel by using UV light
Apparently, you can’t use normal nail polish remover to remove it too
Doesn’t chip or peel off but it will start to show by the roots first since your nails grow.
Anyway, I think that it’s very good if you like natural colours because the root/base area won’t come out that obvious
I’m very sure it last since it has born the brute of my spring cleaning after getting my nails done for CNY.
I got the manicure on 22 Jan and it’s still perfect save for the area where the new nails are showing.
Then again, I always go for French Mani & Pedi so it doesn’t really show at all and I always go for the most natural shades
i usually have the pedi, dark colours or some funky colours (depending on mood) and skip the colour for the hands since it only lasts like a couple of days.
I usually go for Pedi only as well because my manicure don’t even last me 2 days usually since I need to do housework and look after my pets.
And for French for my Pedi as well.
I went for a manicure just before the wedding.
The manicurist asked me, 'Would you like your nails to be buffed or polished?'
I was like, 'Uhhh.... what's the difference?'
From an engineering point of view, buffing and polishing are pretty much the same.
Buff is just buffing your nails down and making the surface smooth and shiny
With Polish, they will apply a layer of clear polish for you

LOL!
Were you dragged, forced or you do not have a choice to the mani?

i try to skip the polish bit because it's basically "sanding" off the top of the nail/makes it thinner etc

Men's facial: $70 (Urban Homme)
Threading and eyebrow shaping: $18 (a little shop near Mustafa)
Scaling: $50 (NTUC Denticare; I was overdue for a checkup anyway)

Just got up after faceplanting in my desk from tiredness....
Anyway, this is pretty disturbing:
Pregnant Indonesian maid leaps to her death
Although the article didn't say it, I guess the poor unborn baby died with her.

'Buff' has many definitions....
'Muscular' is just one of them. I was referring to the one that means 'to polish'.
Other definitions can mean 'naked' ('Swimming in the buff'), or to strongly support something ('history buff', 'classical movie buff'), etc....
And polished is when a guy is really suave or something.
Or ... when he changed his citizenship from citizen of Poland to another country.
In other news, the racket that my CPU fan is making is slowly driving me nuts....
I'm thinking of getting a replacement for it tomorrow....

this is like when we saw a bottle of Polish Spirits which was 160 proof or 80% alcohol..
my friends insisted it was Polish (as in furniture polish)

Sounds like a friend of mine who would pronounce 'Chemistry' as 'Champ-mistry'.
'Champ' as in 'champion'.

I forgot who was it that told me that there is this new colleague they had who went out with them and ordered along the lines of...
New Colleague to Waitress: I want Iced Coffee but I want it hot.
Waitress: You mean you want hot coffee
New Colleague: No I want Iced Coffee but I want it hot
The rest: (sniggering at the side)
