Hello.... what happened to saying 'Excuse me'?
tt day my friend was telling me how this teenage ah beng guy was behind her at a very crowded traffic light at Bugis and he sort of folded his elbows so that it kept poking her a few times while they were waiting for the light to turn.
She got annoyed and sort of 'tsk' and immediately his response is "Stupid woman! Tsk what TSK! NOT HAPPY HAR? WALK lah!"
She was fuming mad, but was afraid nowadays all these teenage gangs thing (plus she pregnant) so decided in the end to just swallow the anger.

So far no one bothered to shout for creating situation the entrance door can’t close, bus can’t move off and being delayed.
They’re complaining not enough buses hahaha
This type hor.. I confirm will scold one. Cos I work just next to a JC, and some of the JC kids (and another nearby sec sch) just dunno how to move in one. So if I end up seeing lots of space behind and they don't move in, I just holler "EXCUSE ME, please be considerate, MOVE IN and let others take the bus too."
Don't care - occupational hazard of being a teacher means you end up going around scolding young kids :P add the benefit of being an aunty to the entire thing, and I feel all empowered!

you know where all this shit starts?
when parents give way to tantrums.. just like last night, a couple of useless parents let a 3-4 year old get away with throwing a 45 minute tantrum...
from what i gathered from the parents, the brat threw a huge tantrum at tsim tsa tsui until the stupid folks bought him an airsoft pistol... which is illegal here..
of course it'll show up in the x-rays... and the police want to know about it...
the brat kept crying, jumping, running around, screaming and the useless father ran around following him trying to pacify the brat...
even when the cops came and gave the folks a warning not to buy these things again, the parents were arguing with the cops that "there are such things in singapore" even after the cops tell them that those things are registered and if not, they're illegal...
the effing parents can tell the brat that "tomorrow we go and buy for you" in front of the police guys!!
after the stupid parents left, the cops told me they wanted to slap the brat, and also the parents..
i wanted to yell at them but i guess the parents will get their just desserts later in life when the brat grows up and becomes an uncontrollable monster to them

Sigh I pity the poor kid cos its such 'trained' behaviour and life for him is just going to do downhill when he realises later than the rest of the world ain't going to cater to him like momma and poppa does. I've seen adults like this, who throw tantrums for not getting what they want... and its a sad sad thing to witness.
Woohoo... more freshman madness has landed in my lap....
A couple fellas seemed to think that they belonged to my class. So they attended my class and handed in their assignments to me.
As it turned out, they were cockeyed and didn't read their tutorial class assignments properly. So their poor tutor had to look for me to retrieve their assignments for them.
That tutor was pissed off.... but like I told her, when you've been doing this long enough, you get to see all sorts of idiocy.

what the???
they went to the wrong class?
and handed in their stuff to the wrong tutor?
that's an automatic zero in my book.. imagine if you had the blueprints for the new system and you sent it to the competitor instead??

the scary thing is that the twerp might do well academically, get into the gifted program, get a scholarship, and be fast-tracked on the management track in the civil service and shape policy.
there are already such sociopaths in the top positions.

If first lesson, it maybe understandable, but if it's not then there's some serious problem...
I still remember me stumbling into a wrong math class teaching some really physics heavy math one my first week becoz the timetables were changed and we werent informed...
I've seen worse.
The lecturer once told us tutors about one student who didn't seem to know who his tutor was.
So the student slipped his assignments under the door..... of the DEAN'S OFFICE.

I take ur word for it!
When I hear stories from friends who work in civil service, I never fail to be amazed how ... err... people can still be selected and as you said, part of upper mgmt even, despite it all. It's really quite incredible.
Sensibility is.... getting to be an elusive commodity.

That's easy.... all they need to do is to ask a friend who attended the class for the assignment.
Still, there are those who just don't give a sh*t.... in all the semesters I've taught, there are students who have failed to hand in ALL their assignments.
Which is sad, because they forfeited an easy 10% of their final grade.
These students would attend their mid-term tests, but would inevitably fail them (and not bother to collect their marked answer scripts, either).
i wonder why these people bother?

The ironical thing is that sometimes you get sensible kids telling their parents to do the right thing

but you'll see the parents scold the child for being "stupid and naive"
