  actually most of the books in my kindle are not from amazon and are DRM-free :D

  but I thought we are allowed to install the amazon ebooks on multiple devices?

  I love science fiction! Besides detective stories.. err I only basically read Scifi :P

  Can't install amazon ebooks UNLESS the kindles share one account (and therefore 1 credit card) in amazon.... would have shared an account with my bro except both of us bought books liao and if we cancel the account now, not sure if the books will be 'cancelled' or not also :(

  how are you able to purchase stuff from amazon? you have a us issued card or are using vpn to mask your ip?

  I highly recommend the following titles from the baen free (yes, free) library.

   

   1632 (Eric Flint) 

  Freehold (I can't remember)

   A Hymn Before Battle (John Ringo)

   In Fury Born (David Weber)

   

   Note: mobireader and kindle formats are fully compatible.

  I bought when I was in US lor :O

  BUT my brother asked me to try to download using my kindle direct from amazon store

  I didnt buy anything, but downloaded free game and no problem downloading it leh!?

  Wooo okie.. mobireader that is mobipocket? Cos I used to use .prc files for mobipocket previously but I didn't try to transfer those files to my kindle.

  The Baen free library sounds like a place I'm going to have to look at during the weekend if I actually want to get work done :O

  oops gtg.. gab with u abt scifi another time. But I'm pretty either old school sci fi classics (asimov or heinlein) or creative commons new writers (cory doctorow etc). Next time share with u my booklist.. tell me which ones u like from there!
