I refer you guys to Apology from MediaCorp.
I quote:
'.....We apologize unreservedly if we had been seen to be insensitive to the gravity of the situation.'
At the very least, that is poor grammar. At the very worst, they're not really sorry after all.
That's because the words 'if we had been seen' changes the whole meaning of the statement. I see it as:
'..... We're sorry if you see us as being insensitive to the tragedy.'
Why can't they just say, like,'What we did was wrong, and we're sorry for that'?
wasn't that what SIA did a couple of years back when their plane was on the wrong runway?

Can't imagine a lowly utilised bus terminal inside St Michael's/ Whompoa could get into the news.
Pls lor, I dun see there's ppl who would bother to board the bus from that terminal in lieu of the bus stops location and bus routing network inside the Estate. The only exception is ppl alighting to get back home.

Karma for Pearl Harbor? They forgot all about Hiroshima and Nagaski.
And the firebombing of Tokyo.
Oh, and what about the internment of Japanese-Americans who did no wrong?
Talk about selective memory.

Oh yeah, Japan provided help after Katrina, too.

I already heard that it's retribution for Japan for WWII over the weekend.... a few times already -_-"
If it's retribution.. I dun see any for Germany...

acid is right
Even if AVA checks on Jap food is not enough. Must check esp from cardboard
Lunch time discussion was on Japan...
My only concern is the food... Not exactly Japan's product but from neighbouring countries as the radiation might spread via the food chain...
Fishes swim and bird fly... Hard to contain them >___< Especially products from China and their non-existant Safety Check...
well, the ironic thing is that on china's bbs and forum boards, most were full of praises for the japs ........
for being a stoic, undramatic people ..... for being orderly and well-prepared ...... for the comparatively low casualty count, give the scope of the disaster, and for the solid construction of most buildings ......
it reminds me of the assholes who said the 04 tsunami were retribution for loose morals and stuff ...

the drinks are a rip-off for a bottle of soda and the cool nostalgic enamel mugs, it's $2
try this if you don't mind getting sticky fingers

Seriously despite the horrific destruction the death toll is really not that high
I think the 1999?? Taiwan quake had a much higher toll
