MIW is planning to build bicycle parking bay at 10 MRT stations. They're Admiralty, Aljunied, Boon Lay, Chinese Garden, Khatib, Lakeside, Sembawang, Sengkang, Simei & Yishun.
6 overhead bridges that's right beside a MRT station will be fitted with lifts. They're Aljunied, Bishan, Khatib, Kranji, Sengkang & Yew Tee

Aren't there enough bicycle stands at Boon Lay?? And I don't see the point in building elevators with lifts when there are standard pedestrian crossings at Bishan.

omigod .... just saw a fb update ..... friend's wife just finally gave birth ..... was in labour for days !!!!!!!!

I was reading my friend's copy of TNP just now.....
Apparently some SAF soldiers who were doing POI duty at Sembawang Wharves took some cars that were being shipped for a joy-ride.... and they crashed them.
Not surprisingly, their sergeant (who was the ringleader) got 15 months DB.
The others were all PTEs and LCPs who were just tagging along, and they got shorter sentences.
Will post the link when it comes up on Google. Right now it's only on the printed version of TNP.

that's why a lau chek at my last incamp says they are now farming out more of these POI duties to NSmen instead ......
