In my more than six years at NUS, I've never had an assignment which was 'soft copy only'. It was either 'hard copy only' or 'both hard and soft copies'.
Simply put, it's a lot easier to grade a hard copy than a soft copy. Those lecturers who demand a soft copy on top of the hard copy would do so to check for plagiarism.

I've had "soft copy" only before.And then he printed the assignments and gave them back to us.

Well, my birthday's this Saturday. I'll be 28. Yay.
I can't believe that I'll be 28/postgrad/married. It didn't seem like too long ago when I was 21/freshman/single.
FS gave me the birthday present early. A new Crumpler backpack.
It's exactly what I needed. My old backpack was falling apart.
