I pity the fool who has to sign 1206 for a spoiled iPad.
Apparently, the news is saying that soldiers can bring the iPad outfield to take photos for After-Action Review of outfield training.
Uhhh.... sure boh? Even if that were the case, shouldn't that be the job of instructors and not chao recruits? And why can't they just carry an el-cheapo digicam which is far cheaper, portable, and rugged?

I would rather SAF spend the money and issue me with a bigger knife (not that mine was lousy) that I could find far more use for. I really loved that knife they issued me. And I was reminded of its use again when my friend used it in Melaka to open up beer bottles.

the terms used oftenly by those guys upstairs: Value add to [XXXXXXXX], enchance [XXXX], brings [XXXXXX] into [XXXXXXX], Improves [XXXXXXXXX] and up level [XXXXXXXX] and whats not.
Perhaps they have some bright ideas, but becomes not so bright when it is unhandled by unbright lesser mortals! :)
However, I do agree on the part of using a Digi cam to settle those actions.
Perhaps ah, should make the items of iPad the same category as rifle. You lose it you go DB! :)
