  KNN.... after several tries (and two voice messages I left behind), I finally managed to get through to HTC Customer Service again.

  It was an exercise in why customer service should never be outsourced to the Philippines.... the dumb girl didn't understand what I meant by 'the rear speaker is dead'. She finally understood when I explained that 'rear' means 'at the back'.

  Oh, and my phone serial number? I read it out as 'Sierra-Hotel-Oscar-Charlie-Bravo-Papa-Lima-Zero-One-Two-Three-Four'.........

  ..... and she didn't understand whatever I said from 'Sierra' to 'Lima'.

  She couldn't even catch my name properly when I spelled it out to her letter by letter! Even when I only gave my common name, she kept mistaking 'L' for 'O'! Imagine what would have happened had I given her my full name!

  just last week, I got a call regarding one of my enterprise systems in live testing .....

  said the vendor details they've entered all disappeared .....

  i was flummoxed .... definitely couldn't be something with the code....

  so I went down .... at 5.30pm ....

  knew what was the problem ? .... there were two servers you see .... one used as a training tool for the staff to fiddle around with and the other on "live" ....

  a foreign talent from the country you mentioned .... entered all the data into the training server .... and then was flummoxed when she couldn't see anything on the live server she's bookmarked on her browser .... 

  she got a farking immediately from the boss, who was sorry to have made me come all the way down ...

  bloody waste of my time ....
