  HR just asked me if I know of anybody else who's willing to take up internship till end July...when they should know that most of us would do 10 weeks or none at all.

  I think this company is really out of touch with reality, relying on interns to get things done.

  Wow. Newton Running has finally given me a proper confirmation slip.

  I seriously don't understand what's wrong with them. It took five weeks and several emails before they finally issued a proper, complete confirmation slip. At all other races I've ever participated in, the confirmation slip was issued right after payment.

  Hell, they didn't even give two hoots about my initial email politely requesting the slip. It took several successively ruder and angrier emails, all with me threatening to go to the media, before they finally got it right.

  What's wrong with some companies these days? Would it kill them to just treat their customers decently without making them having to blow their top? Don't they realize that bad publicity kills business for them.... or do they need their customers to remind them by having to threaten to go to the media?
