I've finally received the end-of-semester grading of my teaching of first-year freshmen.
I received some very positive (anonymous) remarks from my students such as 'takes pains to explain difficult topics', 'very clear and effective in explanations', 'very well-structured lessons', 'friendly', 'easy to approach', 'dedicated', etc....
Then I received a comment that said (I quote): 'His method of instruction is poor. very hao lian'.
FML.
Very hao lian.
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
what kind of comment is that???
time to head out...
till then

I think that student never attended yr lectures at all

Guaranteed + chop a few of them didn't attend my lessons, and then they suka-suka hammer me in the end-of-semester survey.
For example: 'Why can't he just give out his Powerpoint presentations'?
Well, I had already made it clear to them several times during the semester that the lecturer specifically barred me from doing so. Which part of that is so hard for that fella to understand?
Also: 'He should discuss lecture topics instead of just going through the tutorial questions'.
Uh..... hello? I make it a point to discuss lecture topics. I use the tutorial questions to illustrate the concepts taught during the lectures and not just as 'practise on your own' questions. I dare say half of my lesson time is dedicated solely to lecture discussion.
Heck, many of my students praised me precisely for doing that. Either this bugger has been attending the wrong classes, or otherwise skipped all my classes.
there'll always be a few of those
morning
Aft this weekend, most of the railway tracks would be dismantled and returned to upnorth.
In today's news, it looks as though Singapore is back in the Malaysia Cup.
As much as I want a full return to the good ol' days, I know for a fact that an entire generation of Singaporeans grew up without knowing what the hoo-ha is all about.
Which is sad, because the hoo-ha was a big thing when I was growing up. Heck, I was at Shah Alam in 1994 for the very last Malaysia Cup final.
i wonder how long before the kelong starts.. or did it never end?
kelong will never end one la
Well, this is Malaysia that we're talking about. Part of the reason why we were thrown out in the first place was because they accused us of not doing enough to investigate kelong cases (even though we did weed out Vana and Abbas).
Even the S-League has had kelong cases. I remember how six or seven players (plus their manager) in one of the PRC teams got caught for that.
The M-League? Guaranteed + chop.
But seriously it's tat so profitable to go into kelong???
I mean incl so called their 'risk' factor
anyway, here's a funny song...
=> Horse Outside - Rubberbandits
i love this song.. the silliness, the swearing, the crassness, the men in plastic bags doing Michael Jackson moves in a church, the women in horse head masks...
morning guys
interestingly based on all the game theory concepts, formula and etc I applied in my economics classes.....surprise!
It is indeed very profitable to kelong, even if the risk factor is there, simply because the punishment has to be very very heavy in order to outweigh the expected gains.
jail time cannot kelong..
but tat said can get other kar kia to do it... only to see bloodshed later for the money
morning everyone~~
