Wahahah...Serene Centre??? The bus stop is very far.
1 way is to walk to Dunearn Rd (Aft Adam Rd food centre) take 151 or 154 to Jln Toa Payoh, alight at St Andrews's, x-fer to 142.
It's like the 2nd bus stop inside Potong Pasir. Alight, walk back you should see a road in between two walkup blocks. Walk in, you'll see Blk 136. 137 is the block after it.
The other method is along Farrer Rd (Opp Serene Centre) take

Last time when I studied at Ngee Ann I always pass by that place but never felt compelled enough to want to go there see.

The Marina 21k race last night was terrible.
1. No marshallers at the shuttle bus pickup/dropoff points. We were all walking around blindly trying to figure out where to take the shuttle bus and where the starting point was.
2. The race name is false - only the start/end point was at Marina Bay Gardens in the East - the rest of it was at Tanjong Rhu.
3. Stupid race route - most of the way, there was only one lane for the runners. At some points, the same lane had to be shared for both the outgoing and incoming runners!
4. I thought the race would start at 7.30 pm for everyone. It was only when I got there when I learnt that there would be multiple waves of runners, and that I was in the 7.50pm wave. WTF.
5. According to my GPS, I ran over 22 clicks instead of 21.1 km. Race course recce PHAIL.
6. The stupid baggage handlers misplaced my luggage and it took them over ten minutes to find it. KNN.
