It's typical MINDEF, really..... when the sh*t hits the fan, the best thing for them is to just cover it up and pretend that it never happened.....

it was hidden in a pile of sample wood blocks .... I took the whole thing out of my room and slept in peace last night .... ^^

Speaking of insects, I've been seeing roaches more and more often in my room. Now I see one once every few days.....
I've done everything I can to seal all possible entrances and exits, and still they come. I've tried hunting for a possible nest, but I can't seem to find it.
Sigh....

could go get a roach hotel and some of the roach poisons...
the roaches get trapped or they get poisoned, the other roaches eat the dead roach and get poisoned too.. eventually they'll be eliminated

No way in hell am I gonna board their trains.
One would have thought that full disclosure would be the best way to reassure future passengers..... but I suppose that in China, coverups are the way to go.

aren't these the trains they tried to "patent" after using Japanese technology to build them?
be afraid, be very afraid of the maglev trains which go substantially faster... and those they also tried to patent after stealing all the technology from the Germans, then kicking the company out of the country

scary thing is I took those very same trains several times in 2007 and 2008. good thing nothing happened then. I remember being very impressed with the speed and comfort.

funny thing about the PRC intent of covering up.. in World War Z, the author also wrote it like that.. the PRCs tried their best to cover up their zombie outbreaks

The Chinese are good at reverse engineering....but taken from wiki:
China’s initial high speed trains were imported or built under technology transfer agreements with foreign train-makers including Siemens, Bombardier and Kawasaki Heavy Industries. However, Chinese engineers re-designed and further improved the internal components of the train in order for the train to run at much higher speed.

The train may have been improved but the infrastructure and the people doing the running are still the same. So....what's the point?
