So is the Redtail Catfish and Shovelnose catfish and other monster fishes. There are Alligator Gars too
Which is WHY I have been saying that the turtle AVA should Ban for sale is really the red eared sliders and not other more docile species that do not get that large and make better pets like Musk Turtles & Maps. Also they will cost more and it is a deterent for idiots who buy pets on impulse!!!
They should also consider reptile license and allow pets like farm bred tortoises like Red Foots & Cherry head tortoises as they are suitable for our humid climate and make very clean and intelligent pets -_-"
Seriously if they want to ensure that people don't dump these pets, make it illegal to sell except for people with the correct license, micro-chip these pets so that idiots who are not interested won't buy. Plus, not many ppl will want to spend about $100 for a turtle/tortoise unless they really like them.
Was that why I once saw a frigging 1.5m long catfish swimming along a drain??? I was really surprised because its really just a drain! Albeit a bit bigger than the normal ones but far smaller than the canals. But that drain is linked to one of the rivers, I believe Sungei Serangoon but that's still at least a couple of km away.
It's not something you'll normally find in a drain unless the poor fish got lost.

Yeah it's common
We ever rescued a Fly River Turtle from the longkang as well. It was in pretty bad condition coz I think there were chemicals in the water and I had to take it to the vet and nurse it back to health before rehoming it.
i once saw lots of eels in longkang (100 or so)along telok kurau opposite what was lucky bookshop and the bus stop there.i was surprised as there were so many of them each thumb sized thickness.i think they must have lived near the sea n got trapped in drain system.
I hope no H&M frenzy when I go to Orchard later

I haven't been in it either, there was always a queue when I passed. The mayhem will probably continue since they just launched some Versace collection.
I haven't been to Orchard in ages.
The few times I ever went there recently was to try to resuscitate my SE (^$$%%$#(&^%$) phone.

I've been hearing negative comments about the current quality of their garments (and it's not just TJV's comment from the other day). I wouldn't buy stuff from Topman or Cotton on anymore, and New Look is getting a bit dubious.
