Zzz the trains today damn packed
And the trains were CRAWLING and the driver kept breaking and stopping
WTF man
I left early and ended up late
Damn KNS
The breakdowns of Thursday and Saturday left several trains damaged and in need of repair. So now we have fewer trains to serve the same number of passengers.
On top of that, the train drivers have been ordered to travel at a slower pace.
Frankly speaking, I wouldn't be surprised if there's another massive breakdown this evening. Especially considering that they used freakin' cable ties to fix the damaged third rail.

They are a hopeless bunch.
Someone there replied to my post saying its ok to cut in front of heavy vehicles and make me zham brake.
When challenged first about pax falling in bus, he had the cheek to say they were covered by insurance anyway and so its still ok to make the bus zham brake.
!!!
As it is, as expected, LTA arm-twisted SBST to help SMRT out of this mess by deploying their buses for bridging services.
So much for privatisation and "competition".
Anybody who believes that it leads to efficiency that is good for society would be those that just suscribe to textbook views.
Are people really sure that a third company to compete in this mess would be to our benefit?

I did be more partial if they used industrial strength duct tape
Cable ties -_-" That's what Mustafa use to keep their bags shut
Isn't it ironic that while SMRT has been more aggresive than SBST in advertising itself, its PR in recent weeks have been epic fail?
Bus losing its way for 2 hrs and bus crashing into car later, SBST has been left off the hook in the public eye.

i am glad today i am on leave..(though my block water supply temporarily cut due to water tank maintence)...i can roll back to zzz...nice weather...
It's not only the MRT and the Bus but the EPIC fail publicity like the msg to the SMRT cab drivers and also the Twitter Page and worse of all they pissed Mediacrap off
Talk about thing to offend if you don't want bad publicity
I am glad I don't rely on SMRT at all.
275> No I don't. I only can remember 3625D crashing into the rear of another bus killing someone years ago at AMK.

Reliability is still the best publicity.
While SBST still can improve, its miles ahead of SMRT and so when sh*t happens, nobody bawls for its CEO to step down.
Its not like its MRT has never broken down....everyone just made some noise 5-6 years ago when something like that happened and moved on from there.

More details?
I don't recall.
Last night was heavy rain up north...along the way, motorbike skidded in the rain. Luckily didn't appear too serious.
Then on the highway, there was another pile-up.
just packed out the PS2 and the rest of the PS1 games off.. giving them all to my folks' maid to be packed to her children...
the PS2 discs are still somewhere in the room.. i told her delay sending those to long after i find them because she can then use those games as a lever to make them study harder, and get good results then she'll send the discs back to them...
and while digging up the old PS1 games, i realised i have loads of booze stashed away
Last night toll jam was epic.
Of the 100+km spent on highway, 2/3 of it was jammed.
They set up extra booths, but its for touch-n-go which nobody uses.

Take it from this engineer - even duct tape would be at best a temporary solution.
The only solutions that I can consider to be sufficiently permanent would be either bolting or welding.
It wouldn't kill SMRT to get some Banglas down there with oxyacetylene torches or hand drills with some bolts and nuts.
In this case, cable ties can kill. Literally.
