Last night's F1 was fun...seeing the McLarens elbow each other at 300+km/h was epic.
you watched the entire event? or just bits of it?
MotoGP was good, although not quite as thrilling as the previous round.
Hope you saw my account of the bus dramas on FB.
Even more dramas this morning, with my colleague arguing with an old man who peed on the staircase landing. His argument? "I'm 72, you young people can't let me relief myself just this once? I said sorry not enough?"

The whole thing...
But I loved the part where Hamilton and Weber were fighting like lions at the last segment.
The space they gave each other was really really minimal and still zero contact made.
Button was screaming over the radio complaining about his team-mate by contrast.
Takuma Sato wins a race at least, in IndyCar.

If you are referring to the 166 case, it reminded me of the cases of buses actually getting lost and refusing help from passengers.
I guess it has something to do with the corporate structure and how empowered our bus drivers are.
I was once taking a bus going from Bedok to go to Parkway Parade.
Instead of turning into Marine Parade Road, it drove straight onto the ECP. We, the passengers, had to guide the driver to exit at Still Road South.
Half the passengers were p*ssed at having bypassed two-thirds of Marine Parade. The others (myself included) were glad to have reached Parkway Parade faster.
Yesterday, the MRT train overshot the station. Orchard was skipped. Lots of pissed people

What was funny was how he followed directions from other bus drivers on the road instead of HQ. Anyway I've given my feedback.

Did you call or email or use the feedback form at the website?
The latter 2 takes about 1-2 months for response from my past experience.

I called, of course. But I expect the follow-up to take the same amount of time. By then I might be away.
Of course what. It's like asking you if you like to eat fresh fish or dehydrated fish meal
I just wanna ask: have you guys received your NS45 vouchers yet?
I see lots of people already having received it, and I appear to be one of the few schmucks who didn't.
I called up the hotline (it took three attempts just to get through), and the operator told me that it would be delayed until at least next week due to 'over-registration'.
What the hell is 'over-registration', anyway?!?!? I thought they keep a list of NSFs, regulars, and NSmen?
So isn't that just an excuse for 'whoops, sorry, we didn't plan for this properly'?
Yeah. I received mine 2 weeks ago. And I thought that was late already.
I mean, seriously, they should know that they have about 350,000 NSmen.
So..... they only planned for only a portion of them to bother applying for the vouchers? Anything more than that is 'over-registration'?
I sure would like to meet face to face with the sucker who didn't plan this properly.
Dont tell me you had something planned out already in line with the expectation of receiving the vouchers.
Just seeking my rightful (partial) compensation for all the blood, sweat, and sacrifices I made from 2.5 years of active duty and 8 years of reservist.
Freak, I couldn't even get deferment last year to finish off my PhD thesis once and for all. They can't give me a couple of vouchers on time to make up for it? Sucks to them.

Yes MPB received his vouchers.
You know how F-ed up the SAF is -_-
the NSwhatever thing? it was a scam which backfired to hell..
most people didn't know about it until everyone started to tell everyone who was willing to listen to go claim their due...
and most found out the last few days...
the gabrament says they're "giving out $Xmillion dollars" and puts it so in the books.. but since a few people know, the actual amount given out is way way lower than $Xmillion.. what happens to the rest?
so being part of the scam they probably didn't print enough vouchers... i mean what was so hard about just mailing them to all who are eligible instead of making them go click on something in the internet..
which begs the question of those who are left out.. like the few in my unit who were totally illiterate... my unit was the first to go "paperless" so they called us back for a briefing on a saturday morning... the CO was generally gloating and telling us we'd get SMS and email and whatnot.. when one of the illiterate hokkien peng put up his hand and said in hokkien: "ah sir, what are you talking about?" because the guy didn't understand a single word the CO was saying.. much less emails and e-call-ups..
