Tuesday -___-
lucky it's a short work week for me!
Second day of work. It's a pretty jarring change of environment for me after spending so many years at NUS.
Anyway, I need to make my business card, and I'd like to ask: do you guys put your degree after your name?
Such as........... 'Tan Ah Kow, B.Sc, MBA'?
when i had cards printed by the organisation, they didn't..
just the job title
but i've seen many others who have theirs on it especially those in academia
Hmm.... okay. I was just wondering whether it would be considered pretentious to add the degree. Opinions on this matter appear to be mixed.
Sex-for-grades prof found guilty, has his ass fired by NUS
This is all well and fine, but what about the girl?
If sex and money did change hands for grades, then her degree should be revoked.
At the very least the degree should be suspended until she returns to NUS for one semester to retake the module.
It would make a mockery out of the efforts of all the other hardworking and honest students if nothing happens to her.
i rber receiving one namecard with is spammed with all the credentials
Chee Ko Peh
BSc, MBA, CFA, PMP, ABCD
like so insecure like tt
Hi all! 10 days to go to unemployment!

LOL
No irregularity means nthing wrong, nthing wrong = not guilty...
if he is found guity for sex-for-grade, then obviously the grade is questionable... if they found the grades were not tempered with then why is he guilty ???

I find that very strange.
Once material goods and sexual favours have changed hands, it makes the integrity of the girl's grades questionable at best. One cannot say with certainty that the professor was being fully objective while grading the student in question.
If the girl goes scot-free, I will lose all my respect for my alma mater.
After all, Sun Xu got fined heavily and was forced to retake one semester for saying a few nasty words online. I fail to see why a case of academic dishonesty should go unpunished.
TGIF!
Sundown Marathon tomorrow night.
I'm actually quite terrified - I haven't been training for it as much as I would have wanted.
