Start Button to be re-introduced in Windows 8.1
Seriously, what were they thinking about when they removed it? A simple market survey would have revealed that it was indispensable for many Windows users.

It was okay for me after a while only because my notebook has a touchscreen.

I think it was like the time the iMac was introduced in 1998.
It was revolutionary for the time for it had no built in floppy drive.
Of course no one uses floppy disks these days, but the point is - it was just too ahead of its time.
The same goes for Win 8 - if and when touchscreens become more common, it should be quite good. Until that day comes, though, it sucks.
