1 - I believe the UN categorises female circumsision as a type of torture (i think it's counted under the general title of 'female genital mutilation') and as a rule of thumb it is outlawed just about everywhere outside northern africa. 2 - not true. in fact studies suggest circumcision reduces the risk of HIV because cells of the foreskin are generally more succeptible to the virus. -
the benefits of circumcision outweighs the disadvantages.
firstly you will have a loss of sensation because there are alot of nerve endings in your foreskin. but most importantly you're least likely to have aids and prostatic cancer. nowadays there are'nt any reasons for circumcision if you live in a urban and hygenic place like singapore. I'd rather get circumcised tho, cuz you will feel more "free". I've tried going to a poly then got a letter of referral to tts hospital urologist but they turned me down cuz I'm nit a muslim. I feel that I want to e circumcised because I'm filipino. -

Removing a body part to prevent diseases of that body part.
For example, amputate your ear lobes and you would also have less chance of getting cancer or diseases of the ear lobe. Or extracting all your healthy teeth and replacing them with implants just to prevent the chance of tooth decay. Its silly.
The closest example would be something like shaving all your hair just to prevent getting head lice. In both cases, proper hygiene will suffice. -
