Don't buy cheapo lip balm!
I am not sure what is available in Singapore but the brand you buy depends on personal comfort.
When you decide to re-purchase a lip balm for yourself, TEST first using a free tester.
Test for consistency - how thick or thin it feels, whether you like the feel of anything on your lips, gloss factor, stickiness factor, smell, taste, presence of nutrients, glitter, colour etc. You don't like it don't buy it.
When I wear make up I wear colour, if I have a plain face without make up, I prefer no gloss/balm.
Sunscreen is important, lipgloss isn't as important.
Once I had to take some sh--y antibiotics and that cracked my lips so I did need to purchase lipgloss then.
I got a pot of natural gloss that feels and smells nice with sunscreen and I hoped did not contain vaseline/petroleum products.
Cheapest are lipsmackers, then chapstick is a trustable brand.
For cosmetic purposes I like Chi Chi, MacGlass - although this is sticky and overrated. Now I use a cheapo $5 one but its very good quality and value for money.
I also wear lipstick sometimes.
Body shop is also popular here.
I know asians are hot on grapefruit nutrients these days, yeah good luck with that.
