sinicker, intense cravings for food :P, tho i must say despite what other pple say, taking bcp does not cause loss of interest in sex :P. oh, the pills also clear up my acne and help with my menstrual cramps :).

we've been using condoms now but im still considering taking bcp just to further decrease chances of getting pregnant. woosamantha, you dont have any side effects? i read that bcp can lead to infertility and other health issues. true or not?

My fren got pregnant when she was still doing her degree and she had such a hard time juggling with sch and newborn baby. Not to mention all the crap she had to take from her family.

nolah, taking bcp doesn't mean you'll be infertile. my neighbour has been on it for 3 years, then she got pregnant 5 mths after she stopped the pills. using the rubber is still important tho in case he has any STD...but taking bcp will reduce chances of getting pregnant. it's safe and affordable too. just talk to your doctor about it. he'll take ur blood pressure, check your medical history etc and he'll either recommend you a pill or tell you alternative methods in case ur not suitable for it. -

ANYWAYS, hey rihhana! never ever be pressured by sum1 to do it not even ur bf of 5 yrs. u shud be ready for it and always use full prtection when u wan to do it. he shud hav tt rubber on while u shud be on pills. consult ur doctor and always do lots of research yea? condoms break and u wud never know what it cud lead to. after all prevention is better than cure :)
i was on yasmin fr like 2 years b4 i swap to yaz. was having some side effects like weight gain and consulted my doctor. she was e one who introduce me to it and so far, yaz has not been giving me any problems *fingers crossed*.
diff ppl will get diff side effects to these pills. so if anyting, ask ur doctor and do lots of research. if not, let tt dude wait sumore or ask him to F off yea? cheers! ;)

bcp does not cause infertility. i tot of tt too initially. there's just too much myths out there about bcp. i've talked to alot of ppl who's on bcp and some have given birth fine when they got off from taking bcp. just make sure you talk to ur gp and he will monitor and prescribe u the right bcp.
and dun worry if the 1st bcp u're prescribed cause some side effects. it happened to me too. ur gp will noe wat to do.
prevention is better than cure. ;)
