I notice that the rooftops of some refurbished trains, especially 001/002 seem rather dirty. Maybe these trains' rooftops need a new coat of white paint so that it looks exactly like the C751B cars.Originally posted by Novawin™:Boarded 001/002 on NSL today. If you look at the exterior body of 2001 carriage, the bottom parts of the black layer has been teared off and it is easily noticeable. Can see old white aluminum body.
And 221/222 seemed to have some problem. I was on 221/222 train this afternoon. When the doors have been closed everytime, the train will take at least 5 seconds before the train will start moving off. It happens on SB except for Braddell MRT station when the doors are closed, then the train moved off immediately.
They are above-ground, and thus are exposed to the dirt, dust, moisture around them. Sure they would get dirty.Originally posted by kawasaki2:I notice that the rooftops of some refurbished trains, especially 001/002 seem rather dirty. Maybe it's because 001/002 is the first train in Singapore since 1986 or 1987. Could be due to aging.
221/222 gear problem or ATO code changed.
As I mentioned I spot the tear-off of black layer at the bottom of 2001 car, I think SMRT will re-layer the affected body area of 2001 car if the tear-off is getting worst.Originally posted by Oceane:They are above-ground, and thus are exposed to the dirt, dust, moisture around them. Just to add on, 007/008 is actually a regular on EWL.Originally posted by Oceane:007/008 was on NSL today.

2.30pm around there also...
During PM Off-peak no train gets recalled back into the depot unless for mechanical or technical issues... both were running on the NSL. One was NB while the other was SB... estimated 5 ~ 6 trains apart.Originally posted by ^tamago^:how far are they apart?
maybe one kena recalled back?
yeah, it could be a technical recall.Originally posted by Oceane:During PM Off-peak no train gets recalled back into the depot unless for mechanical or technical issues... both were running on the NSL. One was NB while the other was SB... estimated 5 ~ 6 trains apart.
You could say everything except the glass windows.Originally posted by Novawin™:Thanks Oceane for sharing pics.
So everything of the interior of 057/058 train is fully refurbished already? The glass for all doors and windows also are "new"? As I could tell that the sign board displaying "Don't put your hands on door" and "Mind the platform gap" are not put up yet.
