To Sam: So I don't think the future line are in the middle platform..

I would love to see that!

Or maybe its a LTE from Botanic Gardens to Buona Vista

Can use Bartley as the LTE terminal in the future.

Marymount too?

both can use as Peak Hours Service Terminal (PHST)
LTE maybe short Run Between DBG to PYL as these 2 are interchanges ant PYL got middle platform like AMK's
In my mind:
imagine CCL got Short Service from PYL to Marymount as many Students from ITE macp., Macp. Sec, ITE Bishan, Raffle Institution and others school nearby..
1st train to Marymount: 7.15 am and use middle platform
interval 2mins..
Additional trains between Dhoby Ghaut and Paya Lebar......quite good......"This train service terminates at Paya Lebar Interchange"........Paya Lebar Interchange.....This train service terminates at this station, all passengers please alight, passengers who are continuing their journey towards Marymount, please board the next train....Paya Lebar Interchange....please mind the platform gap.

I did say I hoped the middle platform can be connected to Eastern Region Line.
But, wait let us analyze this new line first.
1: A 12 stations, 21km long line.
2: The Eastern Region Line will serve the residential restates of Tanjong Rhu, Marine Parade, Siglap, Bedok South and Upper East Coast and link them to Changi in the east.
3: Given the above cases, I doubt that Paya Lebar will be interchange for that line.
But, also let us analyze where can be the potential depots for this line as well.
1: Changi Depot
2: Kim Chuan Depot (It can be connected in 2 ways, 1: Connect through Expo - Downtown line. 2: Connect through Circle Line - Paya Lebar middle track)
3: Somewhere in Bedok South / Siglap (Near Upp East Coast Terminal??) will built a new depot (How about Thomson Line then?)
4: Tanjong Rhu / areas near Marina Bay?? (Highly doubt, Tanjong Rhu is a condo area and Marina areas probably have better development plans)
And I personally dont think Dhoby Ghaut - Paya Lebar is feasible as the last attempt that is Dhoby Ghaut bound train, I did not see a track from middle platform remerge. I may have to try again soon.
Neither can Paya Lebar - Marymount line work because all "LTE" trains must get everyone to alight and the train move forward to crossover. Take Yishun as example. We could have allow passengers to board the train directly on Jurong Bound platform to Marina Bay (Remember Yishun is ex terminus?) but instead they created so much trouble that dont allow passenger to stay on the train and move forward to Yishun TBS.

The Yishun shuttle service uses the same tatic as the Harbourfront station during peak hour, called the Spanish Solution

This is what I am trying to say, I dont think Marymount can use Spanish Solution, so an LTE to Marymount is not feasible.
Anyway, the Harbourfront during peak hour, what time is the peak hour mean? Has anyone see such in 2010 before?

Why peak hour only last for 15 mins?

He meant only one train for peak hour??
Originally posted by Bus and Train LoVuR:Why peak hour only last for 15 mins?
I am just asking what is the peak hour range.
Originally posted by Samuel Lee:I am just asking what is the peak hour range.
I think about 2 hours.
impossible to have CCL short trips....
Originally posted by smrt3099:impossible to have CCL short trips....
Its possible, especially when there is NDP, F1 race, Chingay parade. This one sure bring a lot of ppl to CCL, as they transfer from EWL.
ERL sure wont link to PYL, unless another line. A new depot will definitely be built. Likely it will be shared with TSL, since high chance of connection

I think it actually starts earlier than 5:45... ends before 7:40
NEL peak hours - 1st train departs SKG at 5.45pm, last train departs HBF at 7.10pm.
ok... thats very late for "peak hour"
