i'm Javanese.. i speaks malay
035/036 and 043/044 of NEL gotten new announcement
003/004 too!
Today I took 2 different trains, 43/44 and 11/12. Both already have this new addition. I guess sooner or later, we are going to hear it on every train. It actually sounds awkward, because all they say is the station name. What I would've appreciated would be <chime> Next Station, Chinatown. 下一站,牛车水. Best if SBST becomes more hardworking, changing the VPIS also. So it would become (lets say DTL already opens) Next Station, NE4 Chinatown Interchange. Passengers may alight and change to the Downtown MRT Line. 下一站,NE4牛车水. (Though I know its unlikely SBST will ever touch the VPIS formula until Woodleigh's opening)
019/020 got them too
soon or later, all will get it
033/034 got it.
More trains are getting it. During peak hours, the trains will have an announcement made on low quality recording: "please do not lean against the train doors, thank you"
this is recorded by just any SBST staff, very low class...Some of these are played in stations too...
Is the CSO say one at the control panel with the mike like HP put at the shirt collar. I that time saw it but dont dare take video. Got many background sound.

Especially in SK/PG LRT stations, the "When using the escalator, please hold on to the handrail. Thank you" and Chinese, Malay, Tamil and back to English again. Keep on repeating, none stop.. So annoying..
001/002 , 031/032 got it.

There is a innocent looking box at the side of the escalators at some NEL Stations' exit located beside the escalator which will loop the announcement non-stop from the first train to the last train at an annoying volume.

its the speaker in the white box beside the escolator.. all NEL station hould have this white box
Someone at SBST Rail really needs to do something about it... Time Singapore's railroads have better quality announcements ala the French SNCF, the Swiss quad-language SBB CFF FFS and even German Deutsche Bahn and Austrian ÒBB.
Seriously SMRT and SBST Railroads should take a leaf out of the Swiss SBB CFF FFS' announcements. They have three(add English and that makes four) languages in their announcements(depending on which part of Switzerland you are in) and they actually manage to chereograph them in a nice and pleasant manner...
Haizzz...
Yah is the white box. Some loud some soft. Some ok some spoilt. SBS dont even care abt them.
Get a grip, its Singapore.
