  I hate to come back every now and then to post in this forum, but I guess I have to vindicate this person here since no one else seemed to have spotted it...

  Yes, there was indeed a train where only half of it was sporting the NTUC Income advertisement. I saw it two days ago while out cycling; the train was travelling from Sembawang towards Yishun during the evening peak hours. I took notice of the car numbers and noted that it was another mis-coupling accident -  one part of 031/032 (if I remember correctly, it was 031) with (again, if my memory serves me right) 006.

  train records: tokyo: 30tph munich: 24tph London: 38-39 tph Singapore: 36tph Moscow: 42-45 tph In practice, trains cannot arrive at 1 min intervals as everyone hped it can. On the moscow metro website, the peak frequency is 90 seconds on average, though intervals of 70s have been observed. In singapore, 3 trains at 20 second intervals have been observed. Paris: 105s on line 14.

  i believe that singapore can reach 39tph. it is less than moscow but u must remember that the average speed in moscow is kept at 41.57 kmh while in singapore it is 80-90 kmh. further, trains in moscow can be anywhere from 5-40 minutes late as complained before on the internet but not in singapore.

  at city halll today at abt 6.30pm the station is almost full. like in london's oxford circus. at orchard today, when a northbound train is still at the station, 2 trains in the opposite direction have already been spotted. the northbound train has left most of the station( train 3331) and the second one at the opposite platform arrived fiercely at speed.
