  Have u ever wondered why trains are more crowded at 9-10am rather than at 8-9am? ppl prefer to go out at 9-10am to receive the morning sun. 8-9am still early- 7 zao 8 zao a chinese saying. the drivers are still sleeping. They also want to work 9-6. ppl go out because they hv no choice and hv to go to work. U see the most diverse groups of ppl than any other hour including workers at 9-10am than 8-9am. There are many workers too. Those working in the singapore mecantile exchange (commodities which trade globally) shop floor workers, housewives, shoppers, joggers, etc. There was a complaint previously that during the 8-9 period between yew tee and jurong east that trains take 5 minutes to arrive. But for 9-10 it's 2 minutes.

  everyday 9-10am, singaporeans turn beasts. Just look at the transport system. there are many buses too. yesterday at approx 9.30am i saw 3 service 74 buses arrive in sucession at macritchie reservoir. the other day i saw service 105 buses bunching.
