- Exterior Advertisements on all trains have been "banned" by smrt as smrt personnel is afraid of people who vandalize these advertisements.

I just met with a CSO at random time as He is off duty today.. After doing some questioning.. Things were raised
After vandalism incident, ext ads are officially ban forever
During the last thursday meet with Ms Saw Piak Hua at SMRT HQ.. The following answers given
- First C651 refurbishment will start at the end of December this yr or Early Jan Next yr
- First unit to undergo refurbishment is 209/210
- Second and Third unit are 227/228 and 231/232 respectively
- Ext will be painted black.
- Int will most likely follow C151 R
- And the STARIS route maps and VFDs, they will be tear down during refurb and re-fitted them after their new look
- So first C651 to do refurbishment will take at least 3 months I think
But currently, 231/232 and 209/210 have been frequent on CGL this few months.. So hard for them to get out from CGL

No......C651s are the only trains left with the whit exterior! The SMRT Corp Comms
replied in an email that the trains will remain white! See, what for install STARIS in C651s when they will be torn down later during refurb. -

Some stations have two new LCD tvs at the concourse level just behind the faregates. Pasir Ris and Simei are some of them...

Out of the current 19 C651s
- 2 are stuck on CGL
- 2 are inactive in BSD. (201/202 and the other one at track 14 of BSD)
- 1 on EWL, and its moving very lousy..which is 233/234
- 225/226 is officially dead
In my opinion, C651s are very lazy and irregular nowadays.. Its even worth it to send 225/226 for refurbishment now

According to a sneak peek at the green ATP speed code lamps on the speedometer,
1) Train speed in ATO mode between Aljunied and Paya Lebar is 61 km/h
2) 78 km/h is attained between Choa Chu Kang and Bukit Gombak
3) Reduced speed to enter stations with uncompleted PSDs is 40 km/h
