Good idea! Human poop, any poop for energy source would be best.Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:Dog poop--the next alternative energy source?
I would like this. We no longer need to worry that we will run out of oil.
Those using solar energy need not worry about cloudy days.
Those using wind energy need not worry about no-wind days.
Besides, Singapore got lots of dogs. Maybe can ask SP Power to cut down their bills for dog owners because they provide the poop. SP Power gain, owners gain. Fair.
Singapore no cows? Got lar. Got two. Cow pei, cow bu lar.Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:Singapore no cows lah. Perhaps the goats. We got a goat farm.
Humans ar, you want to collect yourself and send to SP Power?

[b]Good idea using those waste, but the amount of energy from a very big mass of poop is very little. Time needed to obtain the combustable gas from the poop after it started to decompose.
Applied by three world countries, for cooking gas. Needed to handle with care, as it can be bit of toxic.
Solar plus wind power could be a better alternative source of energy.
Cheers.

For which item you refering to. Can let me know, I refine for you.Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:Ya, refining of the techniques is required.

Yes, a lot needed to be done. However, the efficiency and cost recovery may not be justified. Better to go for wind and solar which can be more easily obtainableOriginally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:Dog poop.

Why not combine everything together? Even more biodiversity.Originally posted by blackchickenahkai:human poop better la..
more biodiversity..
haha
You kidding me..I am a experienced energy expert...Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:Why not combine everything together? Even more biodiversity.
Good. I am seeking an expert's view on it. Does combining the different poops really work?Originally posted by king108:You kidding me..I am a experienced energy expert...
Yes, but the amount of energy is very limited due to composite inside. Poop from cows, pigs and even human mixed with water can produce gases (some may combustible gas contain toxic) when started to decompose. (Working in sewage pipe, occasionally can have explosion due to accumulation of such gas beside the toxic gases)Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:

As the amount of gas obtained is very little and required time, it is used mainly for domestic heating purposes only. The german had applied this method in rural villages in combodia. For your information.
On the green side, the forest will be protected from chopping of woods for burning..
I hope that can answer your queries. Cheers.
Rural village people have excessive poop, and the certain amount of energy are released each day and new poop are added on everyday too. hence, there is an continuous cycle..Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:I see.
For that chopping of woods, I doubt it. As you said, amount of gas obtained is very little and takes very long, those people in rural area don't need eat liao by the time they have collected everything. Chopping of woods will be more practical.
