I'm a reasonable person who would give up my seat on the train whenever I see someone who needs it more than I do. But just today, while on the train, I suddenly had this thought...
It is sorta extreme but it came across my mind.I'm guilty...
So what if someone is pregnant. You are pregnant because you did something. I find it slightly annoying that I have to give priority to people just because they made something happen to them on their own accord.
Hey I'm tired too. Can I just rest on my seat for once? It would be better for you too because when you are pregnant, you are fat. And Standing burns calories.
It's your business that you got yourself pregnant. Take taxi lah. Pregnant already still so cheap skate.
The pregnant belly isnt that heavy! My mum was pregnant at one time and shopped 12 hours str8. And gave birth to my beautiful sister.

Pregnant women are carrying an extra life, it's very easy to lose that life. Would you want to get rid of a life? No, right. That is why. You might as well say don't give seats for elderly people.

wait till someone accidentally knock that pregnant lady down, resulting in the lost of both the mother and the baby itis carry. All which could have been prevented if some arsehole like TS had given up their seat in the first place.

It is up to you whether you want to give up your seat for others. It is more of a moral kinda thing.
For me, I would give up my seat if all seats are occupied. Just put yourself in other shoes lor. If you are the one pregnant/old, you would hope for a seat throughout the bumpy ride one mah.
If let say if they demand a seat, it would depends on how they phrase it. If in a polite manner, I would still give up my seat. If it is like I owe them or something, sorry, I would let them suffer the bumpy ride on foot.

i was thinking about this topic when i was taking train yesterday. I realise that singporean dont have any guilt in themselves. They dont feel guilty at all when the elderly,younger children or PREGNANT women. I was very surpise abt it. I mean it's a big disgrace for singaporean to do such act in public. Once i come accoss some young guy do not want to give up his sit to the elderly man. He still talk back to the public saying that he needed the sit as well as he got alot of things to carry. I think it's super unacceptable in singapore. Next time if u dun wish to give up ur sit for those ppl that needed it. Please think about it what if the person is someone that related to you. Once again fuck off to all singaporean who dont give up their sit to those that need them.

must THEY make it a 'legalised' kinda law for Singaporeans to learn? i tink we shud all just grow up alreadi. alwaz tk care of the weaker human beings... ren ren wei wo, wo wei ren ren. if ya tink ya nid it(the seat) more becoz ya are just tired, ya are just being too pampered, go tk a cab instead. -
Elderly, pregnant women or people with difficulty walking, I will give up my seat for them in the MRT.
However, I won't necessarily do the same towards young children...
