Hey guys, I've applied for EE in NUS and have been accepted. I need some advise on which area to specialise in. I'm planning to do Power Systems Analysis and Control. Does this have a good prospect? Maybe some of the guys who studied eng. can advise me on this? Thanks alot.
Take it if it interests you, not because of prospect.
Things can change before you know it.
I myself did a lot on MicroElectronics because I think the modules content sounded interesting.
i see, ya that is true. Btw eagle, what is the normal no. of electives you guys take? i'm not very clear bout this. Read on the website that there must be a minimum of 3 breadth and 3 depth plus 1 design module.. but what's the normal no. of electives students always take?
i just take as many as I like
me graduate with 183 MCs, along with completing IA and SEP -.-"
lol what's IA and SEP?
if i were u, i drop off n opt for ntu instead. nus power is really cmi. none of their lecturers n professors have industry experience n the only research they have is their own well.

wow.. didn't know that. but is there any difference between the modules? ntu website doesn't really list the modules offered, so i'm really unsure as to what i'll be studying.. that's why i didn't apply for ntu.

nus ee is more focus on computing. if u r purely interested in power engineering n control.ntu triple e is wise choice for u.
but again have to warn u power engineering working life is very narrow comparing to micro e or other area. but the only reward is u can become a profession engineer.

narrow as in limited career choice? but for micro e, after graduation, what can you work as?
