Too lousy for NUS

hello. i got ACC for my h2s. i applied to both nus and ntu's common engineering. it has the lowest requirements for engineering. besides, i dont know which engineering discipline i want to specialise in yet. i think i should be able to get a place in NTU. as for NUS, im not confident at all. but i do prefer NUS over NTU. nursing was my third choice for NUS and i got called for an interview. ok, im disappointed because i havent heard from ntu yet. and i dont know if i still stand a chance to get into NUS engineering. my question is, does NUS offer only one course to a student? or do the different faculties offer places to students, then the students pick which they want to reject and accept. (but that kinda defits the purpose of ranking your course choice right?) and regarding appealing, if i really want to try it, when do i do it?? thanksthanksthanks for any answers and advice. haiiii, troubled.

Each uni will only offer you 1 choice.
Regarding appeals, go check the uni websites.

oh shoot. it means ACC isnt good enough for even common engineering and FASS?? thats damn sad. cos if i didnt even put nursing, i wouldnt have gotten into nus at all?? cos after my third choice, theres nothing else.

Uni posting results are sent out in waves, until the day you get the rejection letter, don't give up hope. U male or female?

u choose nursing due to grades and just for the sake of a place in a local uni and not for the interest?
then maybe maybe drop out in the 1st or 2nd year... -
im damn depressed now. so my only hope to do engineering is at NTU, i guess. although i do prefer NUS. they do send rejection letters?? i thought it means you dont get in as long as there are no letters. but according to what you say, it means theres no chance that NUS engineering will offer me a place too. im female by the way.

dun worry TS, ACC is actually quite good results!
I think you have at least 90% chance of getting into common engineering

I said that becos I have a fren with BCC who got into NUS mechanical engineering.
of course for chem engine it'll be unlikely, but for common engine ACC should be no prob

Quite rare that females like engineering.
Anyway just wait for letter from NTU. Rejected or accepted they will give u a letter. As long as you have not got a rejection letter it means they are still putting you on hold and you have a chance to get in on a later wave.

actually im quite torn between nus and ntu engineering. people say ntu is better, if youre doing engineering. newer labs, more practical, more hands on. thing is, i hate practicals. always hated lab in secondary school and in jc.
on the other hand, nus' school life seems to be more vibrant. what with all the halls and stuff. ntu's campus looks nicer though, but hall life, non existent??
