Anybody have good suggestions. I can talk with others when do shoping, but that doesn’t take a long time, just several minutes.
Can join some community center/clubs also, but that courses are not available currently.
And yesterday I go to a language school, it will cost 400 SGD for 3 monthes, but only one time one week, Few lessons, the price isn’t very reasonable also.
Find places to improve English, you could go to places where most British expats are. Watch British programmes/dramas/films, listen to BBC. Read a lot.
Personally, I used to browse dictionary to improve my English. Read novels by English authors to improve - I will take down all those words which I don't know and go check dictionary and thereafter try using these words when I speak or write.
Speak English to those who speak well, you can definitely improve and pick up some vocabs, this is what I do.

She/He will need to be discerning. Not all Brits speak the standard English that we're looking for, and many classic novels were written in Victorian English. The BBC is probably the best place to begin with though, as is the British Council.

Oh, Lionnoisy is very good ok, in learning english u must dare to write and read alots, and also must learn to accept critic and wrongdoing gracefully, Teacher Lionnoisy just did that, he should learn from him. The MGM lion needs a successor.

Just go and make some malay friends. Or there are some Chinese are can't speak mandarin. No choice, die die must use english when speaking with them. And you will improve in no time...
Well, I am not sure if you have heard of them, but you can play role playing games. Not the computer version, but with groups of youngster - typically below 30 - at some shops.
Role play games - the most famous is Dungeons and Dragons - are games where a group of people gather and imagine that they are some heroes on another world. They will go on quests and adventures.
Usually, the games (in Singapore) are in English. You have to converse, and read a fair bit in English to learn the game. As the game is often of interest to the players, they are more likely to pay more attention to the language. As players converse more, read and write more, the English level is usually high.
You have to hunt around for older players. The group I played with is older. Our english level is considered to be high. We have no problem conversing and understanding even people from US or UK. We read widely, and well... almost all of us are degree holders, from Singapore or Australia.
So.

Do yourself a big favour and join ToastMasters. They have many branches/offices around the world, including in Sg. In fact, some Sg Polytechnics and Sg Universities offer ToastMasters as a CCA.
