How to find the value of p if the lines 3x - py = 6 and 6x + 3y + 2 = 0 are parallel?

parallel means same gradient
change both to the form y = mx + c
equate the 2 different m to find the answer :D

y = (3/p)x - 6/p
6x + 3y
+ 2 = 0
y = -2x - 2/3
Since they are parallel, gradient is the same
3/p = -2
p = -1.5
