Christina and Ivan made 8 litres of lemonade for a party. Christina drank 10% of the lemonade she made and Ivan drank 20% of what he made. Altogether, they drank 800 ml of lemonade. In the end, Ivan still had 0.9 litres of lemonade more than Christina. How many litres of lemonade did Ivan make at first?
Tried working it but dun think i'm able 2 get any logical answer. Pls help:)

I can't seem to get the answer as well. Is there any problem witht he question?
after drink
ivan ===> X + 0.9
Chris ==> X
Before drink
ivan ==> (10/8)X + (10/8)0.9
Chris ==> (10/9)X
total is equal to 8... find X...
Someone do this... i going to sleep....

The question is wrong.
Steps
1. Christina l 1 unit l ]
] 8 - 0.8 = 7.2 litres
Ivan l 1 unit l 0.9 litres l ]
2. 2 units = 7.2 - 0.9 litres = 6.3 litres
1 unit = 6.3/2 = 3.15 litres
3. After christian drank 10% of the lemonade that she made, she will have 3.15
litres left. So, she should have 3.15/0.9 = 3.5 litres at first
4. After Ivan drank 20% of the lemonade that he made, he will have 3.15 + 0.9
= 4.05 litres left. So, he should have 4.05/0.8 = 5.0625 litres at first.
5. When 3.5 + 5.0625 litres = 8.5625 litres ie we do not get the 8 litres at first.
6. Hence, the question is wrong or TS have typed the question wrongly.

carry on from my working..... take note to ignore the both drink 800ml part...
8 litre ==> ivan and chris before drink
==> (10/9)X + (10/8)X + (10/8)0.9
8 - (10/8)0.9 = (10/9)X + (10/8)X
6.875 = 85/36 X
X = 2.91 litres.
hence, ivan made ==> (10/8)X + (10/8)0.9
==> 4.765

8 litre ==> ivan and chris before drink
==> (10/9)X + (10/8)X + (10/8)0.98 - (10/8)0.9 = (10/9)X + (10/8)X
6.875 = 85/36 X
X = 2.91 litres.hence, ivan made ==> (10/8)X + (10/8)0.9

Any reason for ignoring that part? A question cannot be giving wrong information since using your results, you will get more than 800ml drunk by them together

10% of Christina's lemonade + 20% of Ivan's lemonade = 800ml
100% of Christina's lemonade + 200% of Ivan's lemonade = 8000ml = 8L
Total original amount of both both people = 8L
Conclusion: Senseless question.
question wrong..naibei..give me back my 10 min!
