Take note that SP, NP and TP are among the more regconised poly for local universities.
And also, there are some schools within those 3 that don't really have a very good diploma despite how many top scorers they have.
Let me put it simply, supposed you take someone from X school with a gpa with 3.4 and another from Y school with 3.7
The universities would choose the student from X school.
And 3.5 is more or less director's list so you'll probably have alot of course to choose from. Just ensure that you keep your portfolio colourful during your 3 years.
what about NYP and RP?

Not sure how many people from RP gets into local uni but as i said, the O's plays an impt factor in poly students going to uni and its well know RP's students rarely have good O's grades.
I didn't really pay attention to RP's news. Their teaching methods etc are very different from the other polys and with just a few batches of graduates, its still hard to see how effective such methods are compared to the mainstream style of teaching.

I am not blaming anyone....
They using Problem Based Learning.
Means for example programming, maybe they get thrown a question.
"Alex wants to have a system whereby when he enters a value X, it will compare the value of X against a database."
Kind of question, the answer would be to use iteration. But they wouldn't know it immediately then the facilitator will guide them along, they are not called tutors or lecturers btw.
My thought is that this method of teaching is a form of lazy teaching, but it does force you to think.
I do have some PBL modules, whenever we are given a question, we ask the tutor one, we get thrown another. It forces you to research alot but you don't really know whether your answer is correct or wrong.
And we only have it for the less important modules. I guess we had it just for the sake of having it.

I am not sure cos it varies every yr. How many times you got into CLS's roll of honour should give you an idea of your cohort. If you got in everytime, high chance, if you rarely get in then sorry lo.
