Say for example X is a random variable following a poisson distribution with mean 0.141. Is there a way to determine E(X^2)?
Thanks in advance
Hi,
Consider the facts:
1. E(X) = Var(X) = 0.141, for a Poisson random variable X.
2. Var(X) = E(X^2) - {E(X)}^2.
Thanks!
